Is It Post-pandemic Yet?

Posted by San Luis Obispo Mom on Sunday, March 13, 2022 Under: Mom Life
With masks not required for kids in class anymore and the weather is warming up, it's time to get out and about.

I think it's also time to put my big girl pants on and try to make new friends, outside of work and the internet. It's scary to think about it for me and to think that for three years of living here, I've just been reclusive. I know it's probably healthier if I can establish a real human local connection with others, although I hope that my blog writing has helped others feel connected to this beautiful Central Coast area via this medium.

Like many people, my in-person persona is very shy and I have a hard time making eye contact with others but I know that could make me come off as standoffish and I don't mean to be like that. I'll try to get better at making eye contact, even if my eyes meet with others for 1 second. Even the thought of that makes my heart race.

So, hello SLO! If we cross paths, let me try be the first to say, "Nice to meet you".
