Tooth and Nail Winery in Paso Robles Review

Posted by SanLuisObispoMom.com on Sunday, March 8, 2020, In : Wineries
There's not a shortage of wineries in San Luis Obispo County. With more than 200 wineries just in Paso Robles alone, it'll take years before you can visit them all. Paso Robles is located in the northern side of San Luis Obispo County and depending on when you visit, the weather here could be drastically different than the main San Luis Obispo area or beachside.

One of the more famous wineries is Tooth & Nail Winery and just entering the parking lot will explain why. The tasting room and space...

Talley Vineyards Review

Posted by SanLuisObispoMom.com on Thursday, January 30, 2020, In : Wineries
We visited Talley Vineyards in Arroyo Grande today. Arroyo Grande (AG) is part of San Luis Obispo county on the Central Coast of California. Talley Vineyards is one of the more popular vineyards in AG. It's located in the middle of a lot of farms and wineries so you won't find a lot of restaurants or other types of businesses nearby.

This vineyard hosts a lot of events throughout the year with some that are family-friendly. Their wine member lounge is not, however. Although their wine member ...

Wine Release Party at Vina Robles Vineyards

Posted by SanLuisObispoMom.com on Thursday, September 19, 2019, In : Wineries
Over the weekend, we attended a wine release party at Vina Robles Vineyards & Winery in Paso Robles, California. (Paso Robles is part of San Luis Obispo county.) I'm still daydreaming about it because the food and wine pairings were fantastic. It was free for wine club members and that is so wonderful because sometimes other wineries still charge a fee for these release parties.

Ever since we've moved here, we've became wine club members for two wineries, Vina Robles Vineyards and Tolosa Winer...

Tolosa Winery

Posted by SanLuisObispoMom.com on Monday, August 5, 2019, In : Wineries
Ever since moving to San Luis Obispo county, we've gone to about 10 different tasting rooms and we haven't even reached our 1 year milestone as residents. Wineries and San Luis Obispo county go hand in hand. If you're a wine enthusiast, you're definitely in for a treat when you visit SLO! The wine culture here is amazing.

When it comes to wine tasting, it's better than San Diego (Temecula), LA and in my opinion, San Ynez Valley too! The weather here, proximity to local things to do and the pe...

Wine Tasting in Buellton near Solvang

Posted by SanLuisObispoMom.com on Monday, July 22, 2019, In : Wineries
Have you ever watched the movie Sideways? It's a story about two San Diego State University alumni (like me!) who decided to go to Buellton for some wine-tasting adventure as a bachelor party. It's a wonderful story and very comical.

Lucky for us, Buellton is only an hour south drive from here! It's also on the way to Solvang, the Danish Capital of America. In Buellton, there is a main street where you can hit many wine tasting rooms within the same block called Industrial Way. Once you've pa...

Kid Friendly Wineries in Solvang

Posted by SanLuisObispoMom.com on Sunday, May 19, 2019, In : Wineries
Solvang is about an hour drive from San Luis Obispo and known as a wine country and wonderful Danish town. We love visiting there because it feels like we're going to a different country, even though we're just going to a cool town in Santa Barbara county! As the biggest Danish town in California, you're going to feel like you just got dropped right in the middle of Europe! Here's a list of a handful of kid-friendly wineries/tasting rooms that we've personally went to with kids in tow.

Day Trip to Paso Robles

Posted by SanLuisObispoMom.com on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, In : Wineries
In the past, when I thought of Paso Robles, I would think of beautiful and renowned wineries. I had never visited before until this year (2019). Boy, this city does not disappoint.

I found out about Paso Robles Children's Museum having a free day so we took advantage of this opportunity to also explore Paso Robles a bit. Anyone came in for free and they even offered free ice cream! I'm not sure how often they host these types of events but when they do host another free one, we'll post it und...

Solvang Visit as a Family

Posted by SanLuisObispoMom.com on Thursday, February 28, 2019, In : Wineries
We visited Solvang, a fun one-of-a-kind Danish town in California, this past weekend and to me, it was bustling with tourists, visitors and dogs! Apparently, this is a slow season for them. I can't imagine how the summer would look like. (Note: All photos Pinterest photos below were taken by SanLuisObispoMom.com.)

It is impossible to walk around downtown Solvang and not get tempted to buy a pastry at one of the many Danish bakeries. The combination of the smell of the freshly baked goods, the...
