Halloween Anticipation

I love the fall season when the pumpkin patches are open and I can order a pumpkin spice latte from our coffee shops around SLO County. I also enjoy the cooler weather and how traffic is less around here as the kids are back in school and the summer tourist season is over.

Around fall, many of the local farms start planning really fun harvest events and setting up their pumpkin patches. (See my video reel at a beautiful pumpkin patch in San Luis Obispo.) Especially with kids, I enjoy the fall...

Spirit Halloween Store Visit | San Luis Obispo on Madonna Road

Every year, we take the kids to visit the Spirit Halloween Store in San Luis Obispo. They always have new costumes for the Halloween season. Some of my favorite ones were Marshmello, baby costumes and family themed costumes. For 2022, the Spirit Halloween Store in San Luis Obispo is located at the Former Dollar Tree: 491 Madonna Road San Luis Obispo, CA 93405

No Carve Lion Pumpkin DIY

My five year old has just competed in his very first pumpkin contest. Since he is only five, there is no carving involved and we did it as a family. It was a fun activity that all of us enjoyed. My son got to pick what color eyes our pumpkin should have and other features too. He was very adamant that our lion pumpkin should not have ears! Here's the final product.
